FAMILY BACKGROUND
I was born in Chikuta’s family comprising 10 children, 4 brothers and 6 sisters and myself being the 9th born. The rest of my brothers and sisters did not manage to complete primary education due to cultural and economical barriers. It was by the grace of God that only mehad opportunity to be educated up to secondary level.
My tribe, Chewa, has a strong but evil cultural practice known as “Nyau Dance” which kept my parents to remain unsaved during my childhood. This Nyau cultural practice is similar to “Golden Calf Worship” invented by Israelites in the wilderness. It is pure idolatry that involves with witchcraft practices. I was deeply immersed in such evil belief together with my parents until 1987 when my parents decided to believe in Jesus Christ and fellowshipping with the Church Of Central African Presbyterian. Though I followed them to church, I still practiced evil practice.

SPIRITUAL EXPERIENCE
Anything good can be found, and just worthy to be cursed and destroyed. The faith to believe in myself crumbled down!
Then I changed my mind, and believed in the salvation of God by grace through faith alone through the atoning death on the cross and the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
Mentorship:
For 4yrs since 1997 to 2000 AD, I spent time with Apostle Stephen A. Mbwana in a particular way. I spent an hour with this man of God in teachings from Monday to Friday (4pm -5pm) at his ministry’s office and in practical ministry during week ends. This man was a graduate from Rhema Bible College in RSA hence I learnt much on the life of faith in God. I therefore fellowshipped with brothers and sisters in the Lord at Ebenezer Bible Church, founded by Apostle Stephen A. M’bwana in Lilongwe City from this time of my conversion to 2006AD.
Call and Service:
In 2001, I discovered the call of God on my life to serve Him and preach the Good News to people in rural communities in my country. For 6 years, from 2001 to 2007, I had been serving in rural evangelism and church planting under Ebenezer Bible Church.
Theological/Spiritual Qualification:
For 3 years, I underwent a Bible training course on every Saturdays ( see the section below for more)
Ordination:
On 17th April, 2007, I was ordained as a Servant of the Lord Jesus in Ministry of the Word to the rural masses. However, in order to specifically focus further on the missionary call upon my life, I felt to leave Ebenezer Bible Church in December, 2007 and I was released by the Church Elders through a blessing prayer and their support.
New Ministry:
My family left Lilongwe City for a rural district of Dedza to start new work there hence in 2008, Healing Seed Missions was founded with a focus on rural evangelism, disciple making and indigenous leadership raising whilst offering social community services to the neglected and poor children.
The result of discipleship work through our local missions particularly where there has been a need and the leading of the Holy Spirit, we plant local churches and for legal reasons they are known as The Christian Faith Community Churches identified by their geographical settings up to date.

ABOUT SOAM
1.Welcome to SOAM! The School of fishing and making fishes fishers –Matt. 4:19.
2.School of Africa Missions (SOAM) is a non-denominational missionary centre which dedicates itself to preparing indigenous men and women for Christian ministry across the world.
3.Through an exciting and innovative Missions and Ministry Development Program, SOAM creates opportunities to develop the heart, head, and hands of program participants.
4.Since its inception, SOAM is primarily dedicated to move indigenous Christian of different denominational, religious, racial, social-cultural and social-economic backgrounds from vision to reality, from observation to demonstration, from theory to practical, from poverty to abundance and from infertility to productivity in their life and service through an integrated mission development program.
5.To arrive at our goal, the SOAM has three main strategic program areas of focus:
4.Training for mission and ministry.
5.Technical skills training and Social Concern.
6.Gospel mobilization conferencing.
2.WORD FROM THE SOAM FOUNDER &PRINCIPAL
1.My fellow servants of the Lord Jesus, in ministry, it is none other than the minister who should pay the price for others. Death must work in the minister of the gospel so that life may work in others. We need to learn the art of dying that others may live! – 2 Cor. 4:12.
2.The Lord needs human vessels to be channels and manifestation of His love to the present people of the world.
3.If all ministers would live sacrificially as an example of Jesus and pay the price for the sheep they minister to, to be blessed, the world would be shaken by the impact of the Church today.
4.Our ministry is like John the Baptist; preparing the way, smoothing out rough ways, leveling the hills and mountains that others may find it easier to come to Christ and be blessed.
5.We pour our blood, tears and sweat, picking up stones and rocks along the way that others will not be blocked or hindered in any way from coming to Christ.
6.If we catch such a ministry, the eternal rewards are immeasurable when we all reached the shores of eternity and receive from Him crowns for all our sacrifices, prices and services to others for the sake of Christ.
7.For this reason, I urge you to “value all things only by the price it shall have in eternity”.
8.SOAM is therefore your gateway to such place of realizing, fulfilling and releasing your potential and paying prices for sake of Christ and His Gospel.
3.DIVINE NEED
1.We are in the world of hurts and wounds. There are social, emotional, economical, physical as well as spiritual hurts and wounds in people’s lives. People whom we are called to serve are hurt in different circles of their life. These hurts and wounds need healing. Is there hope for these masses? We need to identify the enemy first and fight against him.
2.In His earthly ministry, Jesus Christ had a great concern and compassion for all peoples not only on spiritual need but also all areas of human life. Matthew 9:35-38.
3.The Savior was moved deeply with compassion for the hurting and helpless multitudes! The need is the availability of the Lord’s prepared human vessels that may become real representation and expression of Christ and His love towards such dying multitudes.
4.The challenge is the work force in the define field. However, not every indigenous “Christian can go to a Bible school but the Bible school can go to every Christian” due to financial as well as academic limitations.
5.We need to train more workers in the Lord’s vineyard today by all means and at all cost within their own localities for maximum achievement in Gospel ministry.
6.Hence, SOAM, through “Training For Mission” offers a one year foundational missionary training program in cross-cultural ministry and missions and is designed to achieve integrated mission and ministry training focusing on the heart, head and hands of an indigenous Christian who are economically and academically limited to access of proper, formal and higher Theological, Missiologicaland Biblical training integrated with technical skills training for maximum achievement in Christian ministry.
4.STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:
1.Training and equipping indigenous generation of world changers whilst fighting against povertyby :
5.Developing indigenous leaders (Fishers of men - Matt. 4:19)
6.Focusing on the heart, head and hands.
7.Empowering people to serve innovatively and creatively.
8.Partnering with the local church and global networks
9.Integrating technical skills training and cross-cutting issues.
1.Strategic Activities:
10.Conducting Mission Mobilization Conferences every month in various locations in order to mobilize churches for partnership in gospel ministry.
11.Conducting training for mission integrated with technical skills and cross-cutting issues of HIV/AIDS etc.
12.Responding practically to socially disadvantaged children such as orphans in particular by focusing on education and health opportunities.
5.LIFE AT SOAM
1.Worshipping God: A life of worship and intimacy with God is fundamental to our Christian living and service. Morning devotions, chapel services and times of prayer and worship forms the foundation of all programs at SOAM.
2.Character Formation: God achieves His purposes and joy through surrendered hearts and lives. Christian character formation is key to becoming world changers.
3.Practical Service: We create opportunities for practical service in the local communities to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ.
4.Life-long learning: We value academic excellence. All theory is presented by experienced lecturers and supported by a resource centre of wide volumes.

Cross cultural living on campus, missions mobilization events and fun activities all form part of a program to create a passion for the unreached peoples of the world.

1.WE BELIEVE IN THE HOLY SCRIPTURES:-
We believe in the divine inspiration and infallibility of the Holy Scripture in both the New and the Old Testaments of the Bible as originally given, and its supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct;
2.WE BELIEVE IN THE TRIUNE GOD:-
We believe in the only one true God, Sovereign in creation, revelation, redemption and final judgment; who is unlimited, eternal and perfect. He also eternally exists in unity of the Godhead as the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
3.WE BELIEVE IN THE UNIVERSAL FALL AND DEPRAVITY OF MAN:-
We believe in the universal sinfulness and guilt of human nature since the fall, rendering humankind subject to God's wrath and condemnation; incapable to remedy his lost condition.
4.WE BELIEVE IN PERSON AND WORK OF CHRIST:-
We believe in the full deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Incarnate Son of God; his virgin birth and his real and sinless humanity; in His baptism in the river Jordan, his inclusive and vicarious death on the cross, his bodily resurrection, ascension and glorification on the right hand of the Father; his present Priestly, Representative and Intercessory ministry; and his reign in heaven and earth.
5.WE BELIEVE IN SALVATION OF MAN BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH ALONE:-
We believe in the redemption from the guilt, penalty and power of sin only through the sacrificial death once and for all time by our only representative and substitute, Jesus Christ, the only mediator between God and humankind.
6.WE BELIEVE IN THE JUSTIFICATION RECEIVED BY FAITH ALONE:
We believe in the justification of the repentant sinner as God's act of undeserved mercy, in which the sinner is pardoned all his sins, and accepted as righteous in God's sight, only because of the righteousness of Christ imputed to him, this justification being received by faith alone.
7.WE BELIEVE IN THE PERSON AND WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT:
We believe in the need for the Holy Spirit to make the work of Christ effective to the individual sinner, granting him repentance toward God and faith in Jesus Christ; in the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in all those thus regenerated, producing in them an increasing likeness to Christ in character and behavior, and empowering them for their witness in the world.
8.WE BELIEVE IN THE HOLY UNIVERSAL CHURCH
We believe in the one holy universal Church, which is the Body of Christ, and to which all true believers belong. Agent of fulfilling the Great Commission by bringing the Gospel of the Kingdom of God to all nations with confirming signs, power and authority in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
9.WE BELIEVE IN THE DIVINE HEALING AND PROVISION:
We believe in the God’s divine healing as an integral part of the Gospel and in God’s provision for us, so that we can live blessed and victorious lives that will impact and help others.
10.WE BELIEVE IN THE ETERNAL STATE:
We believe in the future personal return of our Lord and King, Jesus Christ, who will judge all people, executing God's just condemnation on the impenitent and receiving the redeemed to eternal glory;
8.HISTORY OF SOAM
1.In 2004, the vision to equip men and women for going to the nations of the world with the Gospel was born in the hearts of Moses and Grace Chikuta.
2.In 2005, God miraculously opened doors of Gospel preaching in north of Lilongwe district where the couple served the Lord and His people and established house churches focusing on personal spiritual development of the new believers, developing new leaders and releasing them to impact further villages with the Gospel as a result, a dedicated staff in rural missions was formed.
3.It soon became apparent that besides training for missions there was also a need to train pastors who would have a passion for missions. The training programs were adjusted and expanded accordingly focusing on mission mobilization seminars among local church leaders on monthly basis.
4.In 2008, the couple obeyed the Lord’s call to move from Lilongwe and settle in Dedza to focus on rural missions and establish a Mission Training Centre there. Since that time, Moses and Grace partnered with various Gospel Ministers and social workers in Dedza to offer leadership trainings among all churches by organizing Mission Mobilization Conferences on every Saturdays in the district.
5.In 2010, Moses and his mission team conducted a social development program targeting at the girl-children in Kalinyeke Primary School Zone by offering an education empowerment through quiz competition among 7 primary schools of the zone in order to motivate and promote girls’ education enrolment and performance excellence whilst preaching the gospel to them and project collaborators.
6.Weekly Mission Mobilization Conferences had lead to the development of an exciting new Missions and Ministry Development Program at SOAM that focuses on character development and guided, practical missions exposure among all churches.
7.In 2012 -2013, SOAM formally incepted to operate as a mission development tool of different churches and the faculty, staff and students had the desire to also impact the local community with the gospel of Jesus Christ and highly participate in social concern.
8.As we look to the future, SOAM has a commitment to continue to make a difference in the nations of this world, and also in the local community that God has placed us in.
