Profile of El-Shamah Community Church Ministries

Vision.

To bring all people to Christ Jesus and membership in His family, develop them to Christlike Morality {Ubuntu} and equip them for their ministry within their local church community and life mission in the whole world, in order to magnify Almighty God’s name.2 Tim.3:16-17.

Background.

In the year 2004, September 01, Rev. Madonsela V Andrews, the vision bearer of El-Shamah together with his wife Maria left Hoedspruit Farm Ministries, where they have been serving the Lord as Evangelist and Pastors for four years after Rev. Madonsela Andrews having spend three years with Farmers Hope Ministries, Evangelising on the farms around Malelane, Nelspruit and Komatipoort areas, and come back to Nelspruit, Kanyamazane Township were in October, 02, 2004 they established El-Shammah Community Church Ministries and registered it as a section 21 company with the registrar of companies.

Life Skill’s.

From its inception, the Ministry has had a stop and start life due to bad planning, lack of funds, unavailability of land to establish our ministry station and lack of inexperience in church planting concepts.

We spend the whole of 2005 and the half of 2006 to correcting our mistakes, learning and improve our skills in church planting and ministering the gospel, praying and searching for land for our mission station and for funds, wile every day we went out to minister the gospel at schools and around business work places within the township, held outreach revival at surrounding towns, including helping Deo Valente Mission of Pastor Johan Lourens establish a mission station at Guija in Mozambique, until the Lord heard our prayers and in August 2006 blessed us with a 230x130meter land in Msogwaba where we have establish our mission station and our first official congregation on October, 2, 2006. In January 2007, we started with building our congregation building where we can accommodate 200 people when completed. We are still sort of completing the church.

We held an outreach church planting revival from 15 August to 15 September 2006 and on 2 October 2006 and establish our first congregation with 7 adults, 5 youth and 12 Sunday school children, and with more hard work and prayer we are very optimistic that God almighty will add more members as we go along according His will and wishes.

The Sanctuary. El-Shammah Village.

Apart form ministering the Gospel of Christ, after much alliterations research and learning, we realised that we can make a much more , meaningful contribution within communities through the provision of essential life skills which will able God’s people to create employment opportunities for themselves, and essential facilities such as a medical clinic, old age home, Christian based private school, a day care centre and educate, an orphanage, Christian base guest house and a sports & life skills academy, this turning our mission station at Msogwaba Trust into our first Sanctuary project. We built on Ezekiel 11:16-20.

Work that already started.

Day care centre with 12 children and 3 orphaned children.

Worship centre been built, now without roof after storms.

The youth is now participating in our establish Mbombela Foot Ball Club, Golf Club, Athletics Club and Youth Forum for lie skills development.

We have 12 adult illiterate participating in the newly open Grace Adult Literacy Programme. We register it as an NPO. Regno: 2004/013714/08.

Food parcels are providing to the poor and sick of which Shoprite, Nelspruit and the Full Gospel Church in Nelspruit help us.

Future Projects planned.

Worship Centre. We planned to build a big spacious worship centre that would be capable of accommodating 5000 people at a time. The light of the Sanctuary. It must be beautiful and eye-catching to glorify God!

Building of classrooms and offices for our schooling project; academy sport facilities.

Building and Orphanage for 1000 children who lost their parents due to HIV/Aids.

Build an Old Age Home.

Build a Medical Clinic.

Build a Guesthouse for visiting evangelist/pastor/emeritus workers of the gospel.

The area of Msogwaba is a very nig place that need o be preached and evangelist is needed a training facilities where we can train them.

Fencing material to fence the property around of 230x120metre.

We have up to so far five branches with the following membership.

Kanyamazane: 5 Adults, 3 Youth and 10 Sunday school.

Cromdale: 12 Adults, 7 youth and 14 Sunday school.

Sheba Mine: 15 Adults, 20 youth and 32 Sunday Schoolchildren.

Mahushu: 4 Adults, 12 Youth and 11 Sunday school Children.

Magogenit. 20 Adults, 7 Youth and 14 Sunday Schoolchildren.

Hoedspruit, Farmers Hope Ministries.

I am recalled back to Hoedspruit Farm Ministries where I am re-establishing the ministry. I have already re-equipped the demotivated pastors who are now re-vitalised to preach the gospel. The work is going from strength to strength, but there is still a lot of work to be done. There are still more places to reach out to and we need to train and place more evangelist.

Testimony on how I start my ministry

Testimony of Pastor Andrew Madonsela of El Shamah Community Church Ministries. South Africa.

In 1992 March, at about 08H00 in the morning, and very much drunk and waiting for my friend at Randburg taxi-rank, I heard an inner-voice in my heart say,” Are you aware that you are perishing?” That you live is slowly but surely ebbing away! Why are you destroying yourself? Surely if you do not do something about this you are death brother”

I did not want to die! Suddenly in my drunken stupider I sauntered into a bookshop. I ask the lady there to help with the best Bible that has everything about God. The lady was amazed and she told me that all the Bible where the same. I choose a big NIV Bible which to me seems to have all the answers for me because of its size. From there I went straight to my sleeping quarters, and on my bed, read the book of Matthew 5:1-8. I fell into a very peacefully sleep I have never felt before.

I resigned at my work because I had a way of stealing from my employer and come back home. I went from one church to the other seeking the one church that will lead me to Christ and away from evil. One Monday morning while again in my drinking stupider, I heard at the radio that there was a ministry that wanted a person who would like to be trained as a Pastor and work on the farms and minister the word.

I took down their number and phone them to make an appointment with them. When they advice me to come, I have never been so happy in my life! The date I come to the Lord.

I was called in 1992 to come to the Lord. From then God start walking a way with me and in March 1998 I took the Lord Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour.

What was the date you become a Pastor?

After Farmers Hope Ministry took me in for intensive Bible study diploma course for six months, they ordained me as a lay-pastor on 3 farms. I also went through a correspondence course in Basic Ministry with Timothy Training Institute in the year 2000. After the Timothy course I was ordained as a qualified pastor then. Since then I am still busy studying and obtain various diplomas at Bible Institutions.

Why did you build a church in Boschwaba, South Africa?

The reason for building the church in Boschwaba , is that it is God’s will that I built the church there. I had a vision to establish such an institution in Kanyamazane but God change it to Boschwaba. One day a lady come and confirms the vision. I saw a man {Jesus} showing me a green beautiful valley, unlike the one I had in my sight and heart, and took me to the village. Immediately I set my foot on the place, took the view of the laying of the village, my heart was taken with it and there and then I knew in my heart that this is the place I have been praying for 13 years. The Lord also show me to built my house on the highest top of the mountain so that I can claim every

What is your vision for the church?

The vision for this church of Boschwaba is to win the whole village and beyond for the Lord Jesus Christ.

Other information.

I once willed to die after loosing everything that I had my work, wife, children and friends and even my parents lost hope in me. God obliged me-by through a vision. I saw myself walking along a great valley and far away, I saw what seemed a big fire. I could see that it was a great fire surrounded by a great valley mountain. While I was wandering about it, my sight was direct to a lonely figure standing in a vase dessert of snow, at his side a small lamp of sheep. I found myself changing direction, and moved toward the man with the lamp. When I reach Him, he looked old, and give me tendered the lamp with the rope. Without any word I took the rope and the old man vanished and I find myself with the lamp going back the way I had come and through a dark tunnel and at the end of it, I woke up to see my girl-friend with her relatives crying and shocked at what was happening to me. I had soiled myself and they explain to me that I have been really dead for three-hours! Indeed I was but God through Christ revived me and gave me a second chance to repent!!

El-Shammah Community Church Ministries is not just like any other church in Africa. The church at Boschwaba is God establish to go into the community and make an impact in various houses and life’s of people. That is why we have a multiple approach. We have establish a Home-Base care project, to do home visit and ministers to the sick at their homes, Youth Forum where we educate the youth to be great leaders for the community in Christ, Sport Academy to create spiritual leaders in sport and impact the lives of the sports centre, Old age home and orphanage to take care of the old and weak and destitute just as proclaim in the book of Matthew.
